Il Fornaio Bakery was founded in London by Sebastiano Varchione, a passionate baker with a lifelong love of bread. Growing up in Italy, he was exposed to the rich traditions of authentic Italian baking from a young age. After years of honing his skills in some of the top Italian restaurants and bakeries, Sebastiano decided to bring his expertise to London, where he could share his passion for artisan breads with the local community.
Since 1984, we have been producing exceptional bread 24/7, using natural and fresh ingredients when possible and staying mindful of consumer allergy concerns.
Our team thrives on innovation, staying ahead of the curve with emerging food trends and consumer preferences. Our NPD team collaborates closely with clients to develop new and exciting concepts, and our rapid sample turnaround enables swift product launches.
